tryin' for a specific sound...
 

You know the guitar solo on the song "Rainbow" by Boris? I want that sound. I'm no tech geek, but I know somebody here will know how to get it.

I would say that the sound could be had through used of either:

A)phaser (set to full), pitch-shift, and perhaps some filter (If you have that)

or

B)ringmod

Both these in addition to heavy fuzz with loads of treble and perhaps wah in full closed position.
