anyone else catch Boris last night??
 

saw Boris last night at the local legion hall in the town over from me.....very cool show. of course the place was packed, so i gave up trying to get in and listened outside....it was either pack myself inside, where it felt like it was 120 degrees with 200% humidity, or listen outside where you can still hear perfect, if not better, and get rained on a little. i chose the latter and had a great time. i only have the Boris Heavy Rocks album...i dont think they played anything off that, a lot of new songs from what my buddy was sayin, but man...those guys (and gal) are INTENSE!

did thrones and growing play with them last night?

yes, both bands were there....i didnt hear much of growing. Thrones was pretty heavy at times, almost like his stuff with high on fire, but also at times very slow, droning, dark and creepy

i wish i could've been there. boris and growing, to me, are just drone heaven.

I'm going tomorrow. It'll be the fourth time I've seen Growing in the past year. So psyched. I don't have tickets, so I'm hoping I'll be ok just showing up.

it should be ok, i personally haven't been to the ottobar, but i bet it is big enough for that crowd

Ottobar is like 450 capacity I think, and nothing really sells out in advance too often. So yeah.

It was pretty cool. Growing's got some really nice new jams.

that was one of the heaviest bands i have ever seen, that was so great

took some pix and two video clips, but i don't know how they look or sound right now, will transfer later, gonna get more sleep now

They were rubbish when I saw them - I was pretty dissapointed. Maybe I just caught them on a bad night or something.

yes, it's quite a nice club, and excellent local beer
