I'm so excited about their next album that when I read the title of this thread I thought Sanskrit was some kind of torrent site where you could find leaks and a song of the album leaked. You got me disapointed... but I lol'd

i actually liked strawberry jam better than person pitch, though it was the other way around when i first listened to both.

But yeah, I thought Strawberry Jam was AC's best....I'm really not a huge fan, but for some reason I really like Person Pitch. I thought I'd hate it......even though I think I've said that a few times here.

I didn't really think either one was that compelling all the way through, though I appreciate both releases for actually being extremely melodic. Strawberry Jam, I think, had really awful sequencing, I think every song was better than the one before it.. I hate Peacebone, I think that song is amongst worst they've ever done.

But to get away from negativity, I appreciate them, again, for actually having a shit ton of awesome melodies, something most bands can't be bothered with.

Avey Tare's album sticks out as being a lot better than either one. It's lonely, quiet, melodic, "avant-garde", lovely in a very bizarre way...

The first 3 or 4 songs off of Person Pich are pretty great, but it def. falls off after that.

I just personally don't think the songs are that good; he has a great voice and the vocal melodies are great but the samples and the kinda empty songs don't do anything for me.

I think Animal Collective is truely a great band, even though they get worse on every album as I said.. I appreciate that all their albums sound really different from one another.

I've always thought that Animal Collective have never made a PROPERLY amazing album. It's just 'good' or 'okay'. Person Pitch is almost near amazing but sort of misses the mark a bit.

And I think Strawberry Jam isn't that great, neither is Feels. Sung Tongs is good. There is always a level of potential in their albums that they never reach.

Whatever. I love Animal Collective. I agree that PERSON PITCH was incredible (better than STRAWBERRY JAM in my opinion). But I think Animal Collective is great.

No one said they weren't great. You're allowed to say negative things about bands you really like.
