I'm waiting for someone to make the My Bloody Valentine biopic - working title of "Isn't Anything Loveless?". Who'd play who, I wonder...hmm...hey, you could play Bilinda (as the real power behind the band, heh heh).

EDIT: Did I really say it looks good - just saw the trailer again and uh........

I'm not sure what to make of that, I'd probably go see it anyway.

wow, holy shit. that movie looks amazing. i hope it lives up to the trailer, like 'control' for instance looked amazing from the preview, but in my opinion, was slightly dissapointing.

I remember reading about this. The original band (minus Darby Crash) reformed with the actor playing Darby Crash on vocals. Apparently it was awful.

i dont think this is that death and maiden. the whole band is actors.

I dunno if this is the same film but I read about one that was reviewed as unanimously terrible. Not that reviews really mean anything usually but yeah..

no i think death and maiden means that the actor who played darby crash joined with the other surviving germs and toured. they were on warped tour and shit. actually, i think they are playing here soon. from what i heard and saw on youtube it sucked balls.

This movie has seemed like its always just about to be released for years now. I've already lost my initial interest in though id still want to see it.

the guy whos playing crash, is a good actor. he was good in 'into the wild'. but yes this sorta looks like its gonna use up all the music biopic cliches that 'walk hard' already so brilliantly parodied. ill still see it though. theres no junkies better than late 70s punk junkies. except for burroughs.

I have on my Germs shirt right now.


I don't really have high hopes for the movie, but I'm def. going to check it out.

and yeah, shane west is a good actor. got his teeth knocked out and replaced so they looked like darby's, that's cool.

bonus points because the mae shi are playing the screamers on it and i think the bronx are on it too, playing black flag.

I highly disagree. Control is the only "rock biopic" I've ever seen that was done right without any bullshit. I could see it being disappointing from the perspective that it didn't offer much insight if you already know the Joy Division story, but that's why I like it. Again, no bullshit, just the straight story, along with some really good acting from Riley and spectacular cinematography that couldn't display the mood of Joy Division's music any better.

This, however, looks like a colossal hunk of shit. I couldn't even make it halfway through the trailer without wanting to shut it off.
