I don't give a shit about most TV & movie "personalities," for the most part a useless class, but I always looked forward to Meet the Press on Sunday mornings, Russert put great questions to the fucker politicians and did a great public service-- so this one matters to me. Fuckin shit...

Here's a fact... My sister-in-law thinks he's (or was!) the sexiest man she's ever seen. But sexy for my sister-in-law has always been about brains.

This is awful news. He was an awesome interviewer. Sunday mornings won't be the same.

He was certainly one of the more intelligent and reasonable (normal) acting TV news people.

I'm sure he attributes his baffling longevity in the spite of the collective will of humanity to selling his soul to satan.

I work at a news station in Buffalo (where he was from) and broke that story on the air when we got word. Needless to say, it's been the big story all day. Sad, really. He was a very fair minded guy, not some biased, agenda-driven, asshole like all these other talking heads. Many of the people I work with knew him, and they all said he was a very genuine, and likeable guy.
