Anyone here listen to Pain Teens?
I don't yet, but they sound pretty interesting. Any good?
ive heard a few of their tracks, i remember enjoying them a lot
Same here
What does it sound like ?
Sonic Youth meets Lydia Lunch meets early industrial.
Really ? interesting....
Yeah, probably simpler to call them a slightly less intense Swans, with a Goffik/Industrial edge, n' that.
Where are they from ? Does they still exist ?
They were from Houston, which is ironic because there was a thread here the other day discussing how dull the city is. And as you may have judged by my past tense usage, they're now defunct, last album was 1998 I beleive.
there was a thread about the whole houston post-industrial doom punk noise shit a few months back...i remember because i requested some dunlavy and drone uploaded some.
here you go: http://www.sonicyouth.com/gossip/sho...hlight=dunlavy and yeah, pain teens i enjoy. |

the pain teens were great. Bliss Blood worked at the Houston sound exchange and I would go talk to her back in the day. the [pain teens opened up for Sonic Youth bon the Pretty Fucking Dirty Tour along with pavement, when they played in Houston.
Pain teens used to shred my LSD soaked ears. Bliss Blood and Scott Ayers of the Pain Teens http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1192/...09b169.jpg?v=0 |
