Sometimes I wonder if this board is an unofficial SY website (well done, nevertheless). I mean, the band never comes here to chat with us. NEVER. Once (maybe the last year, i don't remember) , I saw Lee's avatar. But 30 seconds later he left the board.
Maybe I'm wrong. They may have trolls and use them to trick us.
That'd be great to speak with them about their music, from time to time. I know they have a lot of things to do, but...
I know it's an utopian idea. Forget that. Or discuss, if you want.

I have seen Lee and steve get on very rarely. thy have other bigger and better things to do, but I am glad they provide this forum for me to talk and share ideas and thoughts with other sonic youth obsess3ed people.

its official alright. just look at the administraters and make yr own mind up. chris habib, andrew kesin, etc etc..... the sy guys probably are a tad busy with shit than post here, steve posts a bit tho, when he has to......

Well, they probably already know that it's shit.

Most of us are sonic fans, so this board is the ideal place to see what their biggest fans are waiting for.
They should consult us more often.
I know they don't care about my opinion about Rather Ripped or other stuffs.
But there 're some wise persons here which opinions should be taken into consideration, I think.

What's Steve's name on here again? I know Lee's...

i like rather ripped, although it's not my favourite SY album, i still love it. i think it's great if the band read our opinions though.

I'm sure they read them, they just don't bother responding. Can't blame 'em.

Actually, I'd agree with the thought that they're probably just too damn busy.

Which is fine with me, personally.

i bet they don't go online that much anyway, except for thurston checking his ebay.

I actually wondered though if Thurston downloaded from here the live VU song I'm Not A Young Man Anymore and then decided to play it at SXSW. I've seen him post once on the board. Probably not, but you never know.
