anyone who lives in nyc and goes to the shows they have during the summer? every sunday is a free show. both liars and black lips are playing there this summer. i'll be moving right by the park so i'm psyched.

this is probably the worst mccarren shows ever, the only band i was like "yeah, i might go" was fucking wilco, dood.

yeah but that'll cost money. liars and black lips wouldn't be bad to see for free.

plus, my friends have told me that the last two years have been better. but it still beats living in the town i live in where the free shows are bar rock cover bands (even those are almost never free).

I only paid $35 to see SY there last July and that was in front of the gates just before the show from someone with an extra ticket ! I didn't even have to pay 'handling' fees ! Great place for a show though, just don't pee in the pool !!!!! LOL

not to spam or shit, but saucony originals which i am working on will be there every sunday for the dodge ball tournaments. i am pysched outta my gourd for this summer!

They haven't officially announced most of the free shows yet, expect a lot more bands to be on that list. uhler, I really like the area lots of good music going on there (Todd P!)

yeah i love greenpoint/bedford. i'll be moving right near there and that's where i stayed the first time i went up to nyc.
