those colored buttons remind me of that toy from the 80's which name i'm forgetting.

it plays nicely too, just enough resistance in the keys to make it resemble weighted keys. it interfaces with reason and digital performer awesomely.

the pads change colour depending on what function you program to them

Oooh you use reason? Pro! It always annoyed me that you had to use ReWire to use VST's, that's why I prefer Ableton.

why do you need reason to be capable of vsts it has tons of capabilities with everything on there.

That's a pretty sweet price. I've been after a good Midi controller, like a trigger finger, but now I'm thinking of the Korg PadKontrol (I think that's what it's called)

the padkontrol is pretty much the pads on the end of the keyboard
