I Just Finished A New "Song", What's Yr Opinion?
 

on my music page. i used a toy called "zizzle" for the beat and some atmospherics. the rest is guitar and noise. let me know what you think. and yes it's a reference to the sopranos... i was watching it while i recorded it. :)

It's alright, a bit too repetitive imo, didn't pick up on any noise elements you mentioned. Sounds like smthing you could quickly put together whilst watching the sopranos, not bad though.
Did you use drum samples for that other song up there, Peux J'avoir Une Boisson?

I liked this actually, its got a very kind of... mechanical sound to it, could be compared to very early Cabaret Voltaire, accept with better production! I saw Eluvium live a couple of weeks ago, and this struck me as something that could be a rather more monged out section of his tracks. But however yours doesn't build like an eluvium track, and thats what I'd certainly enjoy a bit more, starting off simply and gradually introducing each element until it builds into real noise territory. But this may defeat what your trying to do, in which case ignore me, do your own thing. Very interesting stuff, thankyou!

yeah i didn't mix the noise thing very high so you can't really hear it. it's just me playign the strings behind the bridge w/ a shit ton of dist. the french song 's drums my buddy recorded on his 8 track and emailed to me. i love eluvium! i have another song i'm workign on right now that has glockenspiel in it kinda like a four tet song mixed w/ an eluvium song. thanks for the kind words.

as a sopranos uber-fan, i loved it before i listned to it.

i kinda dig it but it needs something to fill our the lower mids and bottom end frequencies, even if it is just a loew held keyboard chord or something. to be honest having everything in the range above 1khz gets tedious on the ear. i like the feel of the track though, something badalamenti about it

badalamenti? do tell, cause i have no idea what that is. i was thinking abou adding some bass to it, but the damn thing won't hold a tuning.
