Feelies Opening for SY at Central Park this summer?

Apparently they will play a few gigs in and around NJ over July 4 weekend, including a slot opening for Sonic Youth in Central Park! Apparently from some anonymous mailing list, I saw it reposted on brooklynvegan.net. Has anyone heard anything about this? I'm drooling.

if i'm in ny this summer and this happens, i will totally be there and i'm not as crazy about the feelies as most people.

I hate the Summerstage venue. Of course, I would go, just because it's Sonic Youth, but that's got to be my least favorite place to see a show.

I don't know, I think it'll be a good change of pace over McCarren since SY has played there the past two summers. The security at Central Park are huge assholes though.

This year they should do the whole Sister album, and then EVOL for the encore.
