third, the new portishead leaked
it's sounding pretty great. the defintely moved on and they now sound like an upgraded version of themselves. it's a lot less conventional and not as easy to get into as the first two albums.
not sure whether 10 years was worth the wait but DANG, still sweet sweet sounds coming from them. |
old news, good, if not great, album.
|
I'm listening to it for the first time right now. "Plastic" is pretty cool.
|
Yay, another album to fall asleep to. Thanks for this!
|
strong words coming from a man who listens to the most boring band of the last 20 years: primus.

where did you get it?
share it? i'm impatient to buy it later but i'd love to listen to it... |
i love it. its more jamie stewart than lalo schifrin.
|
I'm looking forward to hearing this.
|
like i said on the other thread, it's a whole lot darker and less song oriented and it works. in a way, it's the perfect followup to the self titled, progression-wise.
i don't know if more non-fans are going to dig it but i'm pretty much sure people who dig dummy more than their later stuff is not going to like this one since there's no instant melancholic hit like "sour times" or "glory box". |
We Carry On is pretty fucked up dark psychedelia.
|
Has anyone seen them on tv last night performing songs off it?
It was nice to get home and watch some people playing decent music for a change, instead of The fucking Feeling live at an anti-aids festival. |

amazing song, machine gun...possibly the mostunlikely single to hit the top ten ever? |
Those are good but ''The Rip'' is great!
|

|
It's grand!
