For me:

ive been listening to all the stuff that i loved in my 15-16 year old days, pretty much 80's hardcore, and thrash, the stuff i listened too before my tastes began to expand to more avant garde music, i mean i still consider myself a punk rocker in essence, but i just listen to sooooo much stuff now. anyways:

Negative Approach
Scream
Void
Black Flag
(early) Discharge
The Cro-Mags
S.O.B.
Minor Threat
Charles Bronson
SPAZZ
Bad Brains
MDC
Die Kreuzen
Bad Brains
early Suicidal Tendencies
the necros

also:
ruins
richard bishop solo
the shadow ring
saint vitus
omoide hatoba
harry pussy
albert ayler
monosidic
arthur doyle
tiny hawk
lil wayne

I haven't used my stereo in a while, but I've got some Boris in there. As far as what I've been listening to mostly been hardcore stuff "mathcore", I'm getting into a band with some friends with the intentions of sounding like a Thursday and Fall of Troy band. Of course as a guitarist in a trio I plan to set the mood.

But really I've been listening to a lot of stuff. Started listening to the Melvins for the first time in a while and digging that. Uhm, stuff like Boys Night Out and Fear before the march of flames.

Isn't this what the "What are you listening to?" thread is for?

Sheriff Rhys Chatham 02.15.2008 11:14 PM

pretty much.
I think starting that thread is the greatest thing ive ever done.

gmku 02.15.2008 11:54 PM

I know I, for one, appreciate it.

last thing i listened to was witchypoo. next records on my list is a some velvet sidewalk 7 inch (the pumpkin one), a make up 7 inch and the twelve hour turn/ i hate myself split.

batreleaser 02.16.2008 01:06 AM
