i can't stand them. They are just like a watered down, no-good Gang of Four. Almost as horrible as Art Brut or Maximo PArk

their drummer is over-excited, the dancible beats blur into random "thwok"s from time to time, but good vocals and great harmony..
better than most things you hear on the radio..
bloc party is one of the forerunners in the so-called post-punk revival..
and that is a good thing..

They're nice, nothing too special though.

Good, not great. But I agree, still one of the better bands you'll hear on mainstream "alternative" radio today. I caught a bit of their set at Coachella but ultimately decided to ditch them to see Sleater-Kinney.

I must be the only one on this site that REALLY likes them then huh?

i really really love them passionately and hope that they sell millions of albums and then die in a tragic plane crash that doesn't allow them to slip into old age and sell out as to ruin their legendary place in history as popular musicians with integrity

I consider them to be uninteresting, yet inoffensive. The thing that does annoy me is the endless stream of people asking me if I like them.

Song two on that album has a cool harmonics part that I like.

Otherwise it's fucking horrible. Not enough feedback skronk.
