Full writeup here, but below you will find some links to some of the acts performing next weekend at The Ritz Theater in Minneapolis.
Normally the Redukt series has a specific aesthetic or musical concept as an umbrella to the evening's roster, but this time it's all friends and former collaborators of our late friend Matt Zaun. Anyone in the area would be most welcome. The lineup has changed a little in the past week, but the one posted below is indeed The Real One. The Ritz website should change accordingly very soon.

I seriously looked into arranging a short trip to the States to coincide with this, but I've too much other stuff on at home at the moment.

Better yet, a nice dvd for all of us who can't attend..could be a nice way to contribute.
Now, this is one of those moments I wish teleport was a viable option.

How was it?

It was a great night.
The recordings revealed an embarrassingly sub-par vocal performance on my part, but still, lots of people showed up in subzero weather and there were a lot of great performances.

Niiice. News about the "release" of the recordings? Anything planned yet? Guess you'll keep us updated, but I feel like stressing people a bit tonight.

I don't know that I want to make our portion of these recordings public. They're OK for reference, but we played a new song that I think was maybe a little "too new." I think the Gamelan recordings and some of the other acts probably turned out very well though. We'll have to plow through and edit them; we just left the recording unit on all night, so right now it's all just one Looooong track.
