Bob Dylan sounds like the cookie monster

very depressing
i kept making jokes about it as we walked away from zilker park
i thought it'd make me feel better, but it didn't

left after three songs...
it was that bad

king_buzzo 09.17.2007 02:12 AM

maniac. youll regret this when old.

Cantankerous 09.17.2007 02:13 AM

sorry about that. i saw him last april and was not impressed.

king_buzzo 09.17.2007 02:14 AM

i saw him in april too and i liked it, the sound was great, energy and shit, but his voice was kinda bad.

cryptowonderdruginvogue 09.17.2007 02:17 AM

i feel so sad...

everyones sleeping and all i can think about is how bad it was
i don't blame him
it's just really sad his voice is all fucked up

all i want to do is cruise on the boat but its night time
don't want to run into anything

Cantankerous 09.17.2007 02:18 AM

don't feel bad
think of the loads and loads of money he's made (and is still making because suckers still go see him)
he could never work again a day in his life

Norma J 09.17.2007 02:25 AM

You have to take it for what it is though and then you'd enjoy it. If you're expecting Dylan from the 60s/70s then you're gonna be extremely disappointed. That was 30 years ago. You have to take him as an older dude who is doing covers, basically, of his early work. That or go purely for Modern Times which is him today.

cryptowonderdruginvogue 09.17.2007 02:27 AM

i had heard his voice was bad
but i never imagined it could be THAT bad

it was really terrible
i mean, he really does sound like the cookie monster
i'm not even kidding

but you're right, norma j
homeboy is 65 or something
i was expecting something else
that was my bad

cryptowonderdruginvogue 09.17.2007 02:29 AM

dude, what are you talking about?

Norma J 09.17.2007 02:31 AM

That was Dylans decision though in life. He probably looks back and shakes his head when he turned all religious (I don't think he's all gung-ho anymore?), but one or two bunged albums out of approx 30 during his career, ain't bad. Although Saved has some great gospel songs on it, and not bad over all if you take it for what it is.

Norma J 09.17.2007 02:35 AM

Then you're missing something, Sway.

No one can do what Dylan did once.

he was a good story teller, once apon a time. i like that side of dylan, but even then his best songs are stories about other people. i mean, i dont get why its that great, i never have.

i love desire, its an amazing album, but shit....it aint fucking neil young (whos still making great music, and pretty much has stayed the same guy throughout his career. maybe hes mellowed out a bit, but hes old)

just my opinion.

please leave this thread.
thanks...

goodnight dudes.

cryptowonderdruginvogue 09.17.2007 02:43 AM

i'm just kidding, dude.

pokkeherrie 09.17.2007 11:29 AM

i went in knowing he has been singing for many yrs now.

pbradley 09.17.2007 04:11 PM

I loved Dylan's last three albums. Obviously I'm one of those fucked up, idiotic suckers that would let Dylan steal my money.
