Ipod Touch
 

I still haven't got an MP3 player, and this was added to the Ipod catalog today. I'd get one if it came in a 30gb model. It's basically the iPhone with no phone features. Has Wi-fi internet too.

ah that looks like a nice product. still a bit pricy for the capacity, considering the 8gb zen is $200 and the 8gb ipod touch is $100 more. $100 more! but then it has wifi... oh yeah, i think finally an apple product makes sense to me. i might buy one.

what shocks me is that they still think someone listens to macy gray.

dunno, i kinda hate touchscreens (you have to take the thing out of your pockets to interact with it, most likely), i like knowing which button I'm pushing even keeping my nano in my pants. <----- ha ha, sounds like I have a small dick!

man, macy gray happened like 8 years ago or something, my point is that they are stuck somewhere in time when macy gray was still a known artist. is she still recording and releasing albums?

the key word, revealed by your own post, is "yuppies".

it matters what they remember as the youth they'll try to recapture by purchasing this thing. what you think is not important to sell these gadgets-- you're not what they call the target demographic.

oh and i just googled her and it appears she put an album out this past march. i had no idea. but again i'm not the target demographic either.

this is gonna be a huge success, you'll see. and macy gray & her feathers will be a part of it.

but after cheeto pointed it out, i'd rather have $400 worth of records, after all.

I do not know what it is about my life, but I never ever find myself anywhere where I can plug in some headphones and listen to music for longer than a minute.
In my car going to and from work, or anywhere else, I rock my tunes. don't need an ipod for that, even though my car stereo is equipped to play from an MP3 device.
at home I have my turntable and records so i can rock there.
everywhere else I may be, visiting family or friends, shopping at the grocery store or other stores, the library, at a bar watching a band, or at a restaurant eating a meal, at a museum or art gallery I have to have my ears open and an ipod, or a CD walkman, would be very inconvenient for me.

I guess when one lives near downtown and spends their time in many "shady" areas the idea of not being able to hear what is going on around me leaves me unnerved.

Oh well.
