the softest rock

who's the softest rocker of all time?

SynthethicalY 08.01.2007 08:38 PM

Between Eddie Vedder, or Scott Stapp.

atsonicpark 08.01.2007 08:49 PM

Nirvana were soft.

SynthethicalY 08.01.2007 09:05 PM

Now that the poll is up, I would say The Carpenters.

atsonicpark 08.01.2007 09:08 PM

Low is soft.

atsonicpark 08.02.2007 07:37 AM

yeah, the first thing i thought was low.

but even though they're technically soft (and a cure for insomnia), they move my heart strings too much to be "soft rock".

They don't rock heavy, but they rock dense, and that's a lot heavier.

All about Eve

MellySingsDoom 08.02.2007 04:15 PM

For purely nostalgic reasons, Christopher Cross (my Dad used to play his albums a lot).

Savage Clone 08.02.2007 04:16 PM

Christopher Cross was born the son of a lawless man, always spoke his mind with a gun in his hand.

Not terribly convincing, true, but still, an attempt at badassness that puts him ahead of Air Supply if you ask me.

Sad Cafe?

MellySingsDoom 08.02.2007 04:24 PM

demonrail666 08.02.2007 04:26 PM

Sad Cafe, Everyday Hurts.

Oh god, I used to like this in the 70's when it got played a lot on Radio 1. *remembers a time of Corona soft drinks*

EDIT - fabulous standard-issue mullets too.
