their new album is mighty awesome, is it not? Sounds like we have a contender of one of the best albums to come out this year so far. It sounds like what Akron/Family's Meek Warrior should've and could've been.

been meaning to check it out.

seen them live, nothing mindblowing nor eerie, a bunch of blonde guys sitting on the ground playing with toys a noodling with knobs.

its funny i always see people bashing akron/family's meek warrior but i thought it was fuckin' awesome with the free jazz madness. the rest of their discs bored the shit out of me... the kemiliastat ystvat disc from last year is great, but still havent heard hte new one but will def seek it out...

ohhhhhhhhhhhh now i'm intrigued.

by the way (this has nothing to do with this post), anyone accidentally surf onto pitchfork today and see the headline? "Smashing Pumpkins to Fans, Indie Stores: Fuck You." That headline made my day! does anyone actually take billy corgan seriously?!

yeah the new one is great! definitely the best finnish band ever!!

kemialliset ystävät is basically just one guy (jan anderzen) plus whoever happens to be there helping him (often people like sami sänpäkkilä of fonal records/es, markus mäki, etc.) and jan also performs as tomutonttu which is his "solo project". jan and sami have also another new band, called tuusanuuskat.
