which song opens next gigs?
 

with the last album (sonic nurse) they mainly chosen 'golden blue' and its increase of textures. I saw a gig during last year where Jim came from the background with a long cable playing his guitar, then came on stage the others and I really liked this opening! what about with the next album?
the first song 'Reena' starts just in the middle of the song and I like this thing but I dont think they will use this song to open gigs. anyway, with which song they are gonna open next gigs for you?

I think they will also open with Incinerate. During soundcheck in Paris Lee told the soundtechies he rather like to ditch the pedal he only uses for Incinerate.

Do you mean he has switched on the chorus?

also I think that could be a good start introducing 'Incenerite'

When I saw them during thier "Sonic Nurse" tour if I remember correctly they opened with "Rain on Tin", there wasn't a whole lot of back log stuff that night.

i think Sleeping around could be a good start: some noise to prepare the crowd then a good bunch of powerful chords.
but i prefer they open with Incinerate.

If they choose a song of the new album, i think an excellent choice would be "pink steam", with a large instrumental section, great guitars in.

But i'd prefer always "the burning spear", as on the "nycg&f" tour :)

well maybe they could be even play the first EP cause they have released that record some months ago.....if so, it's cool!

The gentle, layered intro of Golden Blue worked beautifully last tour. Something similar would be good. Then again, I won't say no to an explosion of noise.

when I saw them live in Boston in 2004, they opened w/ Burning Spear and touched on quite a few of their older songs. Mote, Kotton Krown, Expressway etc. Wicked good show. I cant wait till the band announce the neww dates.
