yeah, when someone starts a poll for fun on the internet the firsrt thing i do is spend time thinking about the answers i think they should have included but didn't and mention those, rather than just play the game and vote from one of the options.

The revolution will be televised, but it will need to make room for the commercial breaks and sponsorship idents.

True, but I think that's the reason the Mudhoney version of the Spacemen 3 song is beating the original so bad. The song makes a mockery of the concept.

Kind of my point to begin with - if the revolution were televised, nobody would see it, because they'd be too busy participating in the democracy of American Idol.

I have an ambivalent relationship with the Spacemen 3 version. If they would have called it something else and perhaps changed the lyrics a little bit, i'd think it's one of their best ones. I agree with the Mudhoney version pissing all over the original. You should have put The Cult's Revolution on the poll too, just to watch it sink.

If I put all the additional suggestions here, I'd be over the ten allowed. I do wish I'd remembered "Revolution Girl Style Now!" though, just for the Oly nostalgia of it.

Ooh, what about Children of the Revolution?
