Thanks!

'...this recording offers songs as flames of rainbow energy, where the power of love becomes our call.'
and the hippies all lived happily ever after, thrashing shamelessly in Thurstons' deep murk |
Thanks for this. Awesome, roll on September.

Nice! thanks!

Hashish is incredible!! but... dosen't sound like 'Sunday' or are my ears?
I can't wait 'till september!! |
I feel the opposite way, unfortunately -- to me HASHISH sounds like a demo not a final song, and a bit boring - like you have mentioned recalls Sunday and partially instrumental breakdowns of Smoke of Dreams or even Ceasefire
too bad that Thurston relies so much on his Sonic Youth and even previous song based LP legacy, nothing new |
I agree, Thurston's written "Hashish" several time before. It's good, but we've heard it already.

![]() Actually, I am, but the hippie shit is starting to really grate. And the bullcrap Radieux Radio entity is gonna be credited, isn't it. Oh brother... |
Hashish is really the same song as Sunday. I'm wondering what Thurston was thinking when putting this out.

He was high on Hashish, maybe? |
|
Yeah, fingers crossed my ears need some fresh noisy stuff
|
![]() ...and the freaking cover I miss Sonic Youth stuff, they would always go for something more exceptional - than a poor quality photo with bad typography approach (or at least they could easily make it iconic eg.: Washing Machine) |

Lots of different formats including a limited Neon vinyl... |
I dig Cantaloupe. straight up punk rock track with a nice guitar solo in the middle which sounds to me like something from 70ies
