I got a text last night saying that this girl who I knew about 18 years ago was killed by her boyfriend (who later shot himself).

there are a lot of people I used to know who I wouldn't be shocked to hear of dying, but for some reason, not her.

although I haven't seen (or even really thought of) her in the last 18 years, it still feels weird knowing she went out that way.

people who kill people are sick.

fucked up country. :(

a few months ago, this guy i had a few classes with killed himself. i didn't know him all that well, but he was nice and we had chatted a few times. something had happened in his family (nobody knows what exactly) that drove him over the edge.

hearing he did that really weirded me out. just to think that i would never see him again.

on a slightly cosmic note, a guy i knew in middle school was in a car crash this morning. one of his legs is gone.

The death of your peers is really strange.
You tend to keep their memories alive, think about them once in a while, about the wrinkles they would have had.
I forgot most names and some faces of the persons who I was with at school when I was 8, but I remember the name and face of a girl who was ran over by a car during that year.
I wanted to find her grave 10 years ago, even though I believed the family didn't want to stay in our little town and moved quickly.
It's strange to try being good to a dead person, but it can't be helped.
I guess you and crypto are going to feel the same way too.
