Fleetwood Mac, Tusk
Anybody listen to this?
Pretty good shit. Especially the song Tusk. I got it today at the recommendation of my coworker (he's 60). All sorts of shit, all over the place. |
yes yes and yes. fantastic odd wierd strange album. it has the radio schlong of gypsy and the dirty rawness of other buckingham tracks, not that funny and others. and it has tusk..... excellent album and praise for bringing that up!!!!

Yeah, up until now, all I've heard of FM is Radio shit and Rumours.
I've dismissed them for a long time, but what I'm realizing is that Rumours was their lamest record. |
Great song and album, Tusk.
Camper Van Beethoven covered the album a few years ago and passed it off as some old studio tape. |

Yeah, and I'll reiterate what I said there - go buy Then Play On. I haven't heard Tusk mind, so I might investigate. I'm also wanting to buy Tango In The Night. No eighties collection is complete without it, apparently. |
THANK YOU atari2600...
Tusk is arguably FM's best album, and it is my all-time favorite album. Period. If I had to live the rest of my life with one album only... this would be it. It's Fleetwood Mac's "punk" album in the sense that it was released two years after their pop-rock smash Rumours, and of course everyone was expecting the band to follow up with a similar pop gem. Instead, they delivered Tusk upon the unsuspecting fans and industry. Lindsey Buckingham comes out of left field with all of his songs. Stevie Nicks delivers her best songs ever IMO. And Christine McVie is extremely understated and tender, but fabulous as always. |
