Don Fleming, Lou Reed's official archivist
I almost posted this on "Sonic Gossip" (since it's, well, Don Fleming), but given that the central subject is Lou, here it is. Bitchen interview and the whole thing is just tantalizingly awesome:
LOU REED'S ARCHIVE HOLDS SIX HUNDRED HOURS OF MOSTLY UNRELEASED AUDIO, AND OTHER REVELATIONS FROM HIS ARCHIVIST Don Fleming, rock musician (Gumball, Dinosaur Jr, Velvet Monkeys) and producer (Sonic Youth, Teenage Fanclub, Hole, Alice Cooper, Dictators, Joan Jett, Richard Hell) is also one of rock & roll’s preeminent archivists. In recent months, he helped organize Lou Reed’s massive archive. Michael Shelley spoke with him about the project and about his career in the trenches. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Haha! One for Spotify and saving £200 I reckon. However, the book does sound nice. Does David Fricke do the liner notes on every album reissue? |
