RIP Harry Dean Stanton.
One of the greatest — if not THE greatest — character actor of all time. I’ve been meaning to watch the documentary Hary Dean Stanton: Partly Fiction, since I read about his death. Can’t believe I’ve never seen it. Sad indeed. |

my favorite role of his was when he was snorting cocaine with the brian jonestown massacre in DIG!
but i really really liked him in REPO MAN, yeah also as the loser dad in that molly ringwald movie. he was great at portraying broken people. Oh! in WILD AT HEART for example. watching the pack of hyenas in a motel room. damn. oh!!! and PARIS, TEXAS!!!! who could forget that? |
