I'll be at the state qualifying Speech/Debate tournament on St. Patrick's Day giving a speech on (whaddya know) same-sex marriage.

Just come from a conservative point of view. On how People who adopt kids need to get married because that way it doesn't undermine the way they raise their kids, blah blah blah.

I have a whole section for that.

why does being married mean the family structure is stable?

I am for gay marriage, but then again I am a queer. I might do that on my final for speech class, it is a persuasive speech. I think we should have the right to get married mostly due to the purpose of: knowing what your partner died of. You know if you are not married and been together for so long, still you won't know what your partner died of only family members and wives and husbands. This is true for hetero's as well. Also you get benefits with your partner as straight married couples. Such as medical, financial so on.

God, why do people care about musicians' political beliefs. Sure, it's cool when a band do some political tunes and say what's on their mind but why ask them about crap like gay marriage? Wouldn't you rather hear the opinion of people that are actually involved in the issue?

Oooh this story never finished.

So the fucker that set up that show never read the rules of the venue. So the band right before me said "clit" and the guy at the mixer went up and unplugged them and said the show was over.

Not that the guy setting up the show would have made a difference if he was like "hey guys, don't swear." Those kinds of bands have 0 respect for the rights of other bands to play and for not fucking over their ability to be able to play at places again.
