Board mix tape, anyone
 

Anyone want to do a boardwide mix tape, disc trade?

I'm not sure how this would work. Perhaps, first 20 or so people to sign up get divided up into groups. Everyone in one group sends out a mix tape to everyone in the group, minus themselves (of course).

I've seen this on othe boards, it seems like a great way to find out about new music, plus hear some "golden oldies" long since forgotten.

So...anyone want in?

the last mix trade done in the board was done by us giving someone in charge of the trade, our addresses and then matching us with someone else. i for once, wouldn't be able to send 20 tapes or cds.

Last time I sent out two tapes and didn't get any. It sucked.

This may suck. Who knows. I would like everyone to participate and not blow off a board mix tape, but, unfortunately I can't control this.

I hope people want to do this.

I do. Mix tapes are one of the few things in this gloomy, G.W world that make life worth living.

im making a tape right now for a friend, its fun.

most of my friends don't like tapes so i make mix CDs for them.

anyway, i'm in.

i think that if we are going to do groups, we should assign some sort of concept or theme to each group (or perhaps each member of the group). or not. freestyle mixes could work, too.

I'm glad people dig it. How about this. People who want in PM me their board name. I will keep a paper tally of who's in. The cut off date for signing up will be May 1st. On May 1st I'll randomly split people up into groups, unless the total number of people participating is small, then we will just operate as one big group.

Unless people really want to do themes, I think for this one we should proceed without one. Maybe themes after this becomes a semi regular board wide activity?

Let's do tape or CD for this one. At present I have a tape player, but no recorder (I know, sounds weird, my stereo had a horrible accident).
