Sonic Protest 2014
|
What guitar is Lee using? Looks like a highly modded jaguar (bigsby trem and an upside down lefty neck?) and using a wireless system, which makes sense for all that movement to create overtones.
|
It's a Deimel Firestar. Very nice lookin' guitar!
|
Thanks, that was quite enjoyable.

if you listen to this and liquid swords at the time you'll hear the good witch of the east sing you over the rainbow. of course you wouldn't be able to hear yr wand toting celestial godmother. so 90's 90's style. faze black boys dressed like white boyz now ducking quick chops like WU to tight licking wishing white cunts foreverz. anyway...that vid was just what i needed. anyone up for some Terry's carrot? |
I agree with the critiques we gave of the Chelsea Light Moving record, Thurston has become almost a boring cliche of his music.. its not original anymore, he clearly needed that dynamic and energy which the Jim-era of Sonic Youth gave to reinvigorate the creative process..
This performance was fairly boring until..... LEE CAME OUT and proved my point! I been doing the same thing Lee was doing with the drum stick but with a Bic lighter, I found it solid enough to bring out a particular kind of rolling feedback.. KICK FUCKING ASS TO SEE HIM JAMMING WITH LEE AGAIN.. quite relevant for those who were asking if sonic youth would have played together if inducted in to boring rock museums.. |
Scope the MOORE UK guitar strap. Strapping.
|
Yeah, he seems insistent on this new Thurston Moore UK persona, sort of like when Lou Reed spent too much time in England ;)

a real noise fest ( they missing the good old years )
