Anyone know an easy way to rip video files from a DVD?

Got a DVD burn of our recent show, and there's gotta be a way to do it fairly easy. Any free programs to recommend? I wanna put clips up on youtube.

here my man, here:

http://www.dvdtox.com/no1dvdrip.exe

install, run and rip the dvd onto a WHATEVER compression form file...

Thanks, Max. I'll install it when I get home from work.

That program works for everything but the dvd of our show...any other ideas?

Ripping seems fine, but a conversion from an ISO to an acceptable file (avi. etc for youtube) is where I 'm totally lost.

you could try this trial version
hope it works, havenīt tried it myself

You can download AoA DVDRipper 5.0.5 here

If should work just fine. If not, let me know, and I'll find another alternative.

i second this, it's fairly easy to use, unless you got a dual-layer dvd i think. oh no-- it decodes anyway, but i won't copy/burn them, as development ceased before implementation (you can use nero to re-burn the dvd project i suppose
).

tried vdub? or (again) nero...

dvd is really mpeg 2... ive never actually done this conversion (i actually do the opposite often) so i really don't know, but google it.

if all fails however you could borrow a dvbridge and record from your dvd into an avi then compress to size with whatever suits you (vdub maybe?).

hm there was an old vdub version that read mp3g files, it was 1.3 i think. try that?

The program A Thousand Threads recommended works great - I actually bought it. Ripping a buncha stuff right now. Thanks for the help.
