help me!
with my lab report. the topic is:
concentration of sodium thiosulphate affecting its rate of reaction when mixed with hydrochloric acid. |
Are you doing a lab report on how to lower chlorine levels in swimming pools?
no
it's jsut on concentration aaffecting rate of reaciton stuff. it's fairly easy. i'm jsut distressed |
Is sodium thiosulphate an iodic acid?
nope it's chemical formula is Na2SO3
But that's sodium sulfite?
no, sodium sulphite is Na2SO4 whereas this one is SO3
Congrats, you wrote affect instead of effect.
your too kind. i guess i'm one of the few that now there homonyms.
Quote:
Not quite. SO4 is Sodium sulfate. Similar uses, but not the same. |
oh yeah that's right. sulphite has got to be something different though. this is definetely sodium thiosulphate. this calls for wikipedia.
oh i see where i went wrong, the formula is actually na2s2o3 ahhh i'm flustered
Don't ever try testing the reaction of hydrochloric acid mixed with milk in a sealed jar.
It's explosive, and I'm not joking! |
