I'm pretty excited about the upcoming Wet Leg debut LP

The new Placebo album somehow doesn't suck as much as I thought it would (although, being a fangirl, I'm biased). The lyrics are awful as expected, but most of the instrumentals are good; they're at their best leaning into moodier and more atmospheric stuff - good opener, good few closing tracks, a few nice enough ones in the middle weighed down by some real stinkers.

I still haven’t really found an “oh my god, this is breathtakingly good” album for 2022 yet though. I’m a bit behind the times I think.
