I just thought it would be better than having to start a new thread everytime there's something that someone wants to link other people up with.Anyway, here's Aaaargh! - “More fucking noise” demo tape :
And now she’s dead! Aaaargh! - “More fucking noise” demo tape Aaargh! were from the Paris area in France. This demo is from 1996 I believe, I can be wrong. Bass player / singer is Dutch, moved to France long ago and still lives there. Aaargh! are dead, but all three band members are still active in various bands. I still can’t quite figure out what the drummer does on this tape but it is unique and it fucking rocks. I can die of an overdose but I don’t fucking care I can get killed by the police but I don’t fucking care I don’t fucking care AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!!!!!! http://1000aspirines.com/ |
And now, to Finland, for a super-rare EP from the legendary Oz. "Turn The Cross Upside Down", they urge; no doubt "mayhem" will ensue if you follow their advice. Great stuff; guitars that stun, vocals that soar, drums that thunder, lyrics that beggar belief, all present and correct.

Jennifer Gentle + Kawabata Makoto THE WRONG CAGE Review (taken from allmusic.com) by Ned Raggett"Besides leading his main band, Acid Mothers Temple, and plenty of other side projects, Makoto Kawabata has carried out a number of collaborations over the years; this one, taken from a live show in Italy in May 2002, finds him with the young psych act Jennifer Gentle. In many ways it's very much Jennifer Gentle's show — of the three songs on the short release, the two that take up the most time are extended versions of tracks from their first two albums. "Bring Them," originally from I Am You Are, makes for a full-on neo-stoner masterpiece. The Isacco/Alessio rhythm team, with the addition of Massimo on keyboards, creates a perfect zone-out vibe that Doors fans could appreciate, but it's the chaotic scream and swirl of Kawabata and Marco's guitars — building, intertwining, and exploding as the arrangement intensifies — that really sends things to the heights. Kawabata's sky-soaring solo ten minutes, in particular, are jaw-droppingly great. Meanwhile, "Couple in Bed by a Green Flashing Light" from Funky Creatures Lane becomes a wondrous thing indeed, an acid-tribal groove with strange, squealed vocals and some brilliant collective work from the band that Kawabata's contribution helps take to a higher level. It's loud, intense, and thrilling all at once. In the middle is a brief piece from Kawabata on his own, "Man From Mu," played on sarongi rather than guitar and demonstrative of his skill at using traditional instruments in modern settings. Though short at just over half an hour, The Wrong Cage is well worth the investigating." It was released by JG own label, and it's listed as "sold out", I assume that means also "out of print", right? link: http://www.subpop.com/releases/jennifer_gentle/full_lengths/the_wrong_cage_jennifer_gentle_and_kawabata_makoto _live edit: download link removed, I don't wanna end up in jail! |

Here's a an interesting album from Denny his first latin album. Thanks to Tralfaz archives for info and cover scans. Artist: Martin Denny Title: Latin Village Date: 1964 Label: Liberty Records LST-7378 Cover Design and Photography: Studio Five Notes: This is Denny's first album comprised of solely Latin material. And choose wisely he does. There's a few tunes by Jobim and a Denny original as well. Still exotic by standards of the day it's a nice listen. And you just can't pass up that wonderful front cover photo. So toss this one on the turntable the next time the gang is over for some margaritas and sunshine. Track Listing Side 1 Angelito On Green Dolphin Street Corcovado Without You Ho-Ba-La-La Something Latin Side 2 Manha De Carnival Latin Village The Girl From Ipanema Malaguena Sugar Cane Flying Down to Rio Denny latin http://www.blognow.com.au/XtabaysWor...&thism=&thisd= |

An album that is sold out means that whoever is selling it has sold all the copies that they had of it, but it doesn't mean that someone might not have it in stock elsewhere. An 'out of print album is one that has'nt been re-issued, therefore it is difficult to find a copy of. |
Oh dear, I'm going to jail.
I think it hasn't been reissued, and i think they did not press many copies....i'll search a bit on the net if it's easy to get it i'll delete the link... :( edit: whooooooooops! porkie. edit out my quote in your post.... http://www.subpop.com/releases/jennifer_gentle/full_lengths/the_wrong_cage_jennifer_gentle_and_kawabata_makoto _live dumb me, i assumed that if they had no more copies, being the ones that released it, there could be no more copies available around...Ah, to think that back in the days they sold that cd only at gigs here in italy, and now they are signed to subpop, travelling the world, etc.etc..... |

V/A - No Core Compilation Cassette
March 10th, 2007 by The Flakes // Drummer When I heard this it reminded me exactly why I fell in love with hardcore. Every band has a sound of their own and they’re all at least good. Colcor: May be the least interesting band on here but the drum intro to Nervous Wreck is priceless plus a couple of other tunes. No Labels: They’re on the “Why are we here” compilation that have been posted here sometime ago. I’ve always thought that the “Why…” comp. original was released as this tape. No Labels are great in a small dose. Some standout tracks: Still The Same, I’m Tired, Missing The Point, Mental Pygmy and I Play Games. No Rock Stars: My favourite band on here. Sounds VERY much like Minor Threat ala Out Of Step era. Just listen to Too Negative and Death. They also deliever the best track on here: Thrash. I whish they had more tracks by these guys instead of No Labels and Colcor. What happened to this great band after this? Corrosion Of Conformity: I’ve never been a fan of C.O.C. so I wasn’t expecting too much here. But they clock in as second best only beaten by No Rock Stars(yes it’s a contest). Beats everything I’ve heard by C.O.C. so far and Citizen has to be their best track ever. If I have to complain about one thing then its that I would’ve loved to have the singing style of the song No Core and the sound of Citizen on every C.O.C. track. And yeah they’re doing a cover of the KBD classic Rather See You Dead by Legionaire’s Disease Band. Sun City Girls - Singles Collection
I found out today that Charles Gocher, drummer/writer of the Sun City Girls passed away yesterday at the age of 54 after a long battle with cancer. It saddens me very much as he was a big inspiration and that group will not be the same without him. I don't even know if they will continue without him. I feel that the Sun City Girls are one of the most important contemporary American groups. Covering a lot of sonic ground and always full of surprises. Here is a 2 CD collection of many of their hard to find 7" singles. A lots of which contain the spirit of Charlie.
