Add Sky Saxon to the List...
The legendary singer of the Seeds has died.
This feels strange as I met him in 1995 when he stopped in at KAOS to see if I'd play a song on the air when he was in Olympia (I was subbing an afternoon jazz show and was just the person who happened to be in the booth). Of course I played it for him, he was Sky Fucking Saxon. It was horrible, this silly post-burn out thing called "The Greatest Rock Show Ever" (no, I'm not making that up...) but I'm damn glad I played it for him. |
Sorry to hear this. The Seeds put out some good records.

Jackson ... Saxon ... we could be one death away from the never before seen "celebrity w/ names that rhyme death trifecta". Golfer Brad Faxon had better tread lightly for a couple of days.

Aw man, another legend goes to the great garage in the sky. "A Web Of Sound" is pure uncut Win, and no mistake. RIP to the great man himself.

Yes, RIP Sky. We'll miss you.
