Hmm. I don't even remember which venue it is. I'll check Haino's site, though. Savage Clone will cry if it has been cancelled. Only because he won't be able to meet me then.
|
Walker Art Center doesn't say anything about it being cancelled. I really hope I don't drive all the way to Minneapolis and then get fucked because Haino cancels.
|
I'll call the Walker tomorrow when they open and find out what the fuck.
|
If our date is ruined I will be furious.
|
i would totally cry if that happened to me.
|
Ha. Meanwhile, I saw him twice already this year and may seem him a third time. Mwuhahahahaaaa
|
but Then That's Not Fair!

I'm offended! I'm no sort of whore, sweetheart.
|
I called the Walker today.
They said as of now they are planning on things going ahead, but there is still the possibility of cancellation. They will email me if the show gets cancelled, they say. |

WHEN IS THE THIRD TIME AND CAN I COME? |

Of course you can ducky. He's playing w/ Tony Conrad at Instal, 15th October. Bizzarely, it looks like he's below The Bohman Brothers and Jazzkammer on the bill. Which is, quite frankly, wrong. http://www.arika.org.uk/instal/insta..._festival.html |
Oh I can't. They day before is a leaving do for two of my friends who are both also called Iain (well one spells it Ian....freak). One is going to work in Munich and the other in Singapore.
|
I'm looking like I don't have any money, which is a bit of an arse. Would be great to see Mr Conrad with the dark magus himself.
Ian? You want to disown him. Freak. |

Shit's on! |
Do you know what?I was telling a friend of mine who's chinese the other day and i had never realized that Haino is so popular in ceratin parts of Asia so much.He thinks he's rubbish,by the way....

Oh, dang. I need to find some money now. I quit my job and am flat broke for a few weeks. |
Haino was great.
The movie was cool for the first half (mostly a montage of Joan of Arc-related themes), but not so easy to watch in the second half (when it somehow phased into footage of competitive eating). Haino did an all-too-short encore post-film too. He brought the pain, but I wish it would have been longer. Still a great experience. We had great seats. |
i can't say i don't envy you
|
I would say I envy you, and I do a bit, but I saw him 2 NIGHTS IN A ROW. Sorry.
