she's at 18, i'm at 36, so i've already doubled up on her. thurston's beer
belly has deterred her, i think.

meh, nothing wrong with beer. I like Richards Red and Grolsch for light beers, and Black Label for heavier stuff.

Cantankerous 09.23.2006 09:30 PM

does he really have a beer belly?

That`s the only time they ever came to these heathen lands. I really hope they come back once again.

OH...and I went to the Thurston Moore, William Winant and Tom Surgal show at the Salon Mexico on March 25. 2006. It wasn`t Sonic Youth, of course, but it was equally fascinating: Thurston used a girl as a percussion instrument!!

Why do so many people from Mexico love Morrissey?
It's really peculiar.

i THINK chris lawrence has more than me...not entirely sure, though.
he's the only one i can think of.

Toilet & Bowels 09.23.2006 10:19 PM

lawrence could be discounted as a hanger on though, does he pay for all the shows he goes to?

jennthebenn 09.23.2006 10:25 PM

good point. mind you, i think 36 paid shows should qualify me for
some sort of exemption from now on, either totally free admission or half
off or free beer at least.

Washing Machine 09.24.2006 04:47 AM

I really wanna see a Sonic Youth gig, but they've only ever played Cardiff once on the Daydream Nation tour. I don't mind going a little distance to see them, but i dont wanna have to London or anything like that.

All american band's UK tours are crap, they think all British people live In London, Manchester or Birmingham!

_slavo_ 09.24.2006 07:02 AM

only once,

8/8/02, DC

in 9:30 club. An absolutely wonderful gig, anyhow.

static-harmony 09.24.2006 11:22 AM
