I tried that one because it was the one I had, and I stick to it because it's the one I have. Is it bad? Do you have any suggestions? I quite like it, it's much better than any cheap ass one I had before. Please don't suggest something expensive.

I have no experience whatsoever in vocals recording, the only thing I used for that kind of stuff is a "standard" Shure SM58...
I thought you went through some others before going for the AKG.

I did, and they were all shitty. So you can go into a shop and say please give me something that isn't shitty - they know these things.

hmmm...At first listen. I was kind of disappointed. But this album grew on me. There are some stupid songs (Will there be Stars). This will be BR show number 3 for me. And they don't seem to play anything before Melody of Damaged Lemons which is disappointing. But I am hoping for Elephant woman. or just more off Misery.

no offense but valium/xanax/klonopin sounds like you have problems w/ anxiety-- the right therapy with klonopin and/or other meds will work better than getting hooked on too many pills.

i take klonopin on occasion (prescribed) and it's not addictive, because unlike xanax it's slow acting so there isn't that compulsive aspect to it. plus xanax gives me nightmares after it wears off.

if you (or anyone) has anxiety problems, go get checked instead of self-medicating randomly.

imagine getting a serious cut (e.g., maiming a hand while operating a saw) and instead of going to the hospital you decide to "disinfect" yourself from the inside by drinking gallons of whiskey. exaggerating to make a point but it's the same thing.

U know I've had my problems with the pharms. I was prescribed xanax but I voluntarily asked the doc to put me on kolonopin for the exact reasons you stated. I can't just quit the xanax without kolonopins cause that will make you have a seizure and other very negative withdrawal symptoms. No offense taken. I am really trying to get better. I quit pain killers and speed. I just take my dose per thee doc and smoke some herb.

No I get them from a family practice. I cannot afford yet to get to the psych. It is $300 first visit. I also take prozac for my anxiety. My drug habits have definitly been caused by self medication of mental issues. Xanax is the most addictive drug I have touched and I have tried nearly all. They are the devil. It is a long and hard road but I am slowly getting where I should be.
