new wolf eyes leaked...

human animal...havent found it yet. Heard it sounds less intense than Burned Mind. Its only 30 minutes long too, heard it sounds great though....

afterthefact 07.14.2006 11:11 PM

heard, heard, I'm a bird...

k-krack 07.14.2006 11:13 PM

kickass. i havent heard all of Burned Mind yet though (about half).. i gotta pick that up sometime... the only good record store here closed though.. so it will be hard.

Onani Nic 07.15.2006 07:12 PM

i saw wolf eyes a few weeks ago and Mike was saying the promo copies were out in the next week or so. They played one song that was as intense as Stabbed in the Face but it went for 10 minutes. It was one of the best songs i've ever seen live.

i heard wolf eyes for the first time a few days ago. t's goood

Toilet & Bowels 07.15.2006 08:31 PM

one of the best live bands i've ever seen, although none of their albums i've heard (about 10 or so) really do much for me at all.

Пятхъдесят Шест 07.15.2006 08:33 PM

Is it another Sub Pop release?

Dan 07.15.2006 08:59 PM

Yeah, it's on Sub Pop. It's only just now occurred to me how weird it really is that they put stuff out on there. Postal Service, Eugene Mirman, and Wolf Eyes...

Anyway, I listened to this because a lot of Wolf Eyes is really hit or miss with me and the stuff I like with them is a really small percentage of what they put out, but I definitely enjoyed this one. The first half is really subdued, eerie, avant jazzy horror movie stuff and then it gets to the real fist pounding death jams. But yeah, I'm happy I'll definitely be comfortalbe buying this one, and maybe if the play some of this stuff in October I'll have a better time when I see them.

Haha... I'm really looking forward to this album... I loved the Hospital double as well.

atsonicpark 07.16.2006 06:44 AM

New Wolf Eyes?

That's funny, because they release 600 things a year that sounds exactly the same.

Trasher02 07.16.2006 07:09 AM

Word.

Me too, probably my favourite after Burned Mind.

Toilet & Bowels 07.16.2006 07:14 AM

yeah, i found it strange that people would be excited for a new wolf eyes record considering how much stuff they put out.

noah 07.16.2006 10:59 AM

i saw them in sept last year and i was a little disappointed. the opening band fe-mail completely blew them away.

m^a(t)h 07.16.2006 04:19 PM

buy whatever you can find, ive personally never run into any of there albums, but if you could get anyone of them I would choose Dead Hills EP or Slicer.

drrrtyboots 07.16.2006 09:43 PM

Anyone have a torrent or something of their live dvd? I really wanna see that shit.

you can get it off of soulseek, and its very good resolution. Just search "wolf eyes dvd" and it will come up eventually.

Iain 07.17.2006 02:20 AM

The live dvd isn't that exciting if you ask me. If you mean the Live in a Boat one.....

I mean the Covered In Bugs dvd.

whorefrost 07.17.2006 04:41 AM

people are excited about the new wolf eyes cuz it's on sub pop which means it's been properly produced and shit... think of their underground CD-Rs as SYR style shit and their sub pop stuff as their geffen albums proper... my friend works in a record store and heard the promo.. he said it sounds really metal which unnerves me a bit...

its ok, not amazing though, my best advice would be to try and trade with someone off this board for a dvdr copy, there are several traders in this forum who could probably trade it....
