it was never discussed here on the board. i mean when i watch the year punk broke movie. this guy has a excellent taste of humour.very similiar to mine.some kind of ironic idiotism.like you are not youst a duck you are human.or the outtake where is my chords.beside that he is always most of the time sarcastic.not difficult to handle the real statement out but as a follower of thurston idos i can say when you talk to normal people they mostly cannot figure out the easyiest stuff. i was talking with a christian today , sayed to him that i have heard rumors that jesus was bi sexuall.i sayed it in a cool and thursty way.he was not youst angry about the joke no he has not even realized that it was ironic stupidity.so i youst make jokes wich are not dangerous in a juristic way anymore.except i am out with the right guys.

but back to the roots of this topic thurston is a really good entertainer.i bet he is often sarcastic also to himself and loughting while he imaginates completley stupid stuff in his mind. great intellectual guy.

He certainly has a great sense of humor. He seemingly is getting a bit more "serious" the older he gets, though....a natural process.

i think the interview vids from '88 someone posted in the other thread is a good example of his sense of humor. he's a pretty funny guy

That scene was very funny. ROTFLOL funny. He displayed alot of nerve in that movie as an actor. Didn't let up.

Most of all I would say that if he is touring then he is 'on' and gets a rush from travel and performance. Don't forget the 'love' factor. Always makes comedy gold.

Lee is cooler.

I've seen a few SY interviews. Kim Gordon is quiet in most of them, thurston is always funny, and lee is just laid back.. except for that interview they had with Nardwuar.

I think he's kind of pushy myself as he always interrupts to give his opinion when they've asked Lee or Kim the question first. I've never seen an interview with Steve and Thurston together.

Thurston is way funnier than Krist. Although, he has made me laugh sometimes. I still can't get that Bass throwing incident out of my head.

thanks Murmer I watch the interview he sure was jumpy right at the beginning maybe he's hyperactive and that's why interrupts. The thing that killed me was the Interviewer was another one of those jokers who thought he was the star of the show and the reason people watched typical of MTV

Thurston certainly seems more mellow these recent years. Back in the 80's and early 90's it was all about throwing firecrackers into a sound booth or all of those antics in YPB. The lyrics were wilder back then too. Nowadays it's just 'I AM NOT BECK' T-shirts.

I think I've seen that Steve/Thurston interview. Thurston dominates most of it if I recall. There's another that's just Kim and Steve, that one is pretty even, I think that one was around Experimental Jet Set.
