What good stuff is coming out? I don't have a clue.

There's some very promising Tim Buckley stuff coming:

"Beginning with a three-CD 'Goodbye' and Hello' release in late-spring/ early-summer 2010, Rhino will release expanded versions of the first seven Tim Buckley records, at the rate of two or three a year. The minimum re-issue for any one title will be two discs, with the possible exception of 'Blue Afternoon", for which extra material has yet to surface.

H&G 2.0 would consist of both mono and stereo album and singles mixes and un-released tracks, plus a whole slew of demos for recorded and unrecorded songs."

Badass. If they basically just have a disc which is an all acoustic version of H&G minus the godawful production I would literally cheer. There are so many great songs on there that I can hardly listen to because of all the shit on top of them.

In less than two weeks a new Scout Niblett album is being released.

New Drunkdriver in March, new Broadcast...

Kayo Dot's "Coyote" soon.

Probably a new Lightning Bolt record this year too.

The Depreciation Guild are putting the finishing touches to their second LP, hopefully for a 2010 release.

3/10 = March 2010

Fleet Foxes expects their second LP to be released sometime in the second half of 2010.

Janek Schaefer will be releasing a cd of his "Phoenix & Phaedra holding patterns" in April.

We're going to see him performing the thing in Liverpool next week, with Philip Jeck as support. There is no cooler event than that, in my opinion.

What sort of stuff is Schaefer dong these days? I had his Skate thing a few years ago, and saw the weather balloons thing but I haven't caught up with him in ages. Jeck, obviously, continues to be magnificent.

I haven't seen any official news but it says so on the website of the venue I'm going to see them at, and I've read that in other places as well. Can't wait (and can't wait to see them!)

And yeah, I'm definitely excited about that new Broadcast. Man, Warp is so awesome.
I'm also eager to ear that Rustie album they're going to put out, and that Flying Lotus they're going to put out, and that Battles they're going to put out, plus all the new bands they're gonna sign, etc.
