Foul-mouthed cartoon duo Beavis And Butthead could be heading back to the small-screen, as a pair of geriatrics.
Twelve years after they last shocked audiences on MTV, creator Mike Judge is contemplating a comeback - but with the teenage layabouts as grumpy old men.
Judge reveals, "I kind of think of them as being either 15 or in their 60s. I wouldn't mind doing something with them as these two dirty old men sitting on the couch. In between then? I don't know. At one point I thought Butthead might do Ok on some really low-level sales job. Beavis might be landscaping."

I say its too late to bring them back now.. and the dvd box sets were appreciated but they should have threaded the music videos into the cartoons like the episodes, I couldn't just watch them separately, and the cartoons weren't the same without the video commentary..

Yes. They're not even worth buying because they were missing the videos. I used to watch VHS tapes that my friend recorded years ago.

Well, you can go on sell.com and get a 22-disc bootleg set of beavis n butthead, every episode with videos, and all kinds of extras that the official dvd's didn't have, all in perfect quality, for like $30, so who cares..

Actually, I take that back, King of the Hill isn't one of the greatest shows ever, it is THE GREATEST SHOW EVER. Some would cite the Simpsons, but I think the Simpsons had like 8 great seasons (3-10). King of the Hill had 13 great seasons.

It's really too bad Mike Judge -- who is absolutely brilliant in every way -- is probably only doing this because Extract and Goode Family failed miserably but eh.

I mean, only seasons 1-6 of KotH have been released on DVD because of shit sales. I mean, I have all 14 seasons (13 seasons and the last 4 "unaired episodes") on dvd but most people don't.

Anyway, Beavis N Butthead will be back soon. Yay.

Beavis & Butthead is probably my favorite animated series of all time.

I own all 3 Mike Judge volumes, the 3 Time-Life DVD's that used to always be advertised on tv, Beavis & Butthead Do America on DVD, the outstanding Genesis game, the highly inferior SNES game, and 2 fully-painted, hand carved, wooden ornaments of their silhouettes.

Hopefully this kicks ass.

It's a good show but I find this curious since Judge has said countless times he's embarassed by and dislikes most of the show. My favorite episodes weren't even on those "official" DVD's. Like I said, I'm sure he just wants to stay relevant since his last projects failed HORRIBLY. Too bad too. Everything he's been involved in has been cool (though Idiocracy could have used some recasting). The Animation Show dvd's are so fucking amazing as to be ridiculous.

I am just happy he's going to continue the shitty washed-out art of the old episodes.

i have to take this back. i watched all thirteen seasons last month and found them amazingly consistent and brilliant. my favorite animated series without a doubt.

I loved Beavis and Butthead. I didn't like King of the Hill.

I prefer King Of The Hill (One of the best shows ever IMO) and Daria over Beavis and Butthead, but still, it's a great show. I have total faith in Mike Judge that it will be exactly like the original show was and just as good.
