favorite sonic youth instrumental

they have a good amount of instrumentals so i thought i'd start this thread. and Machine was released too, though i don't think it's one of their better instrumentals. i was always a fan of Kim's Chords because it's really GOOD, but Moonface is probably my new favorite

does "kool thing (merzbow)" count as a semi-instrumental-improv?
if so I would vote for it for personal reasons. it blew me away

SYRFox 06.29.2009 04:05 AM

This thread made me listen to SYR3 again yesterday night and it's really a fantastic disc. Pure nocturnal and dark atmosphere going on for 50 minutes. I like when albums induce a specific atmosphere (ie Silver Session and its arctic atmosphere)

Thank you, I was just blown into a little moment of heavenly bliss listening to Anagrama cycling home from Publix here in Gainesville, Fl. I forgot the name of the song and the album so I just googled "Sonic Youth" and "Instrumentals", stumbed upon this thread, and your answer to my question.:) So yeah, Anagrama is one of their best instrumentals
