This One Goes Up To Eleven.

Rain On Tin.

How can anyone listen to that song and not do this?:

SYRFox 05.19.2009 12:29 AM

I think you meant Kill Yr Idols

summer 05.19.2009 12:42 AM

mil_pl 05.19.2009 01:42 AM

sarramkrop 05.19.2009 01:57 AM

Never liked this song.

exploding plastic candle 05.19.2009 02:11 AM

In semirawks for the first little part. and then it slips into jamband riffage.

pbradley 05.19.2009 02:15 AM

I think "Junkie's Promise" is SY's most straight forward rock song.

But it's less head banging and more sickly swaying back and forth.

barnaclelapse 05.19.2009 08:49 AM

Good song. I've always liked it.

atsonicpark 05.19.2009 10:38 AM

In their top 5 best songs, definitely.

Great songs, but less generically rock.

atsonicpark 05.19.2009 10:56 AM

they have lots of straightforward rock songs on Dirty. Probably why I don't listen to that record.

Junkie's Promise rules!!

Odd. When Beavis wears his "death rock" shirt, Butthead's shirt usually says "skull". This was done for when the two weren't on MTV (but were in comic book form or whatever).

eternal 05.19.2009 11:06 AM

brother james always does it for me

Eli Renfro 05.19.2009 11:23 AM

Love the song. But I'm a fan of the "jamband riffage" style...

Skuj 05.19.2009 01:37 PM

I love how it's like, get the fuckin words out of the way in the first minute, then go all all Spinal Tap riffage for 6min+. I love how it builds and sways.

EVOLghost 05.19.2009 02:41 PM

Dood Rain on Tin is the fuckin' shit. I was jammin' to it when I took a deposit earlier today. I love SS's drums in this. There's this one part towards the end that gets me EVERY FUCKING TIME!

EVOLghost 05.19.2009 02:42 PM

Not to mention the end where just thee guitars are playing is just beautiful.

jennthebenn 05.19.2009 02:50 PM

Live, just breathtaking. Even when they fucked it up (Milwaukee, '04).

evolove 05.19.2009 04:24 PM

hehe, i just got the spinal tap reference in the title for this thread
