Guitar Interplay Shitttt

I want music with epic intertwining guitars and stuff. Rain on Tin. Stones. That kind of stuff.

SUggestionssss?

Glice 03.31.2009 05:30 PM

Listen to Bach. Learn counterpoint. Stop fucking about with shit.

viewtiful_alan 03.31.2009 06:13 PM

The album Marquee Moon by Television.
Obvious suggestion.. I know.. but it fits what he wants.

The album Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere by Neil Young & Crazy Horse has incredible guitar interplay, I can't think of two guitar players with more raw chemistry than Danny Whitten and Neil Young

Death & the Maiden 03.31.2009 07:44 PM

Malice Mizer, the Japanese band
Baroque
Bel Air
Shi no Buto
They only ever did a few guitar songs like these, but when they did they were great.
And a lot of what they did was stolen from Classical and Baroque music.

Felt (Maurice Deebank and Lawrence era; might be "wimpier" than what you're looking for, but great chemistry just the same)

Chameleons (80s UK ones)

Bardo Pond

Kinski

and , um.....Judas Priest.

atsonicpark 03.31.2009 09:34 PM

- Every math rock band ever. (but the best ones to listen to would probably be A Minor Forest or Sleeping People)
- Every "post-hardcore" band ever

Just listen to Sweep the Leg Johnny.

batreleaser 03.31.2009 10:00 PM

Burnt Hills has five guitar players.

Vermonster

those are prolly a bit more blown out that what youd be looking for.

Savage Clone 03.31.2009 10:10 PM

While Vermonster might not be the ticket, Magic Hour or Major Stars very well could be.
Wayne and Kate are a very very good combination.

Rob Instigator 03.31.2009 10:53 PM

This is a good one. Live double disc. Also, Swervedriver for mini-epic guitars.

Yeah, you should get this. I'm listening to it right now and the guitars are amazing in Cowgirl in The Sand!
