ive got stuff here: http://www.myspace.com/brokenmic ive got stuff here: http://www.soundclick.com/benminer for the yspace noise I used: contact mic on a cooking pot and some nails. keyboard >>> room drums keyboard >>> grand piano keyboard >>> tenor sax keyboard >>> feedback guitar when i get time prob. next month I want to make a noise site, where i just pus a definition of noise music with noise background music. |
www.myspace.com/icoc
my noise project. it's harsh noise with guitar improv on top. i record my guitar with a computer microphone, and the rest i do is process sounds on cool edit |
i dig the second one ( loz6658...)
|
thanks dude!!
the first song on your site is pretty, i dig the free jazzyness of it. by the way, thanks for the comment on the myspace page of my zine about the derek bailey tribute |
The last gig my noise band played got this review which you may find amusing, we're called Plankton, Seagreens and Proteins from the Sea,
:o here it is: Club Night Replica The band formerly known as Death Monster and Friends are usually first on the dance floor here, but tonight with their new project, ‘Plankton, Seagreens and Proteins from the Sea’, making noise is the only thing on their agenda. Sitting in matching armchairs, they look like two fellas sitting enjoying a quiet pint, albeit with their hair hanging into the froth. Then they turn on their effects pedals, and the sheer mass of noise that surges from the speakers sees half the crowd move forward and the rest run to the back of the room. Electronic noises ebb and flow between the two, and whilst they’re obviously trying to make some kind of messy but coherent noise, the layers of white noise and feedback melt together to make a big sloppy mess, which even from the toilets (where I've retreated to), is enough to make your stomach flip. --Natalie Boxall BBC Tees, -- http://www.bbc.co.uk/tees/content/ar..._feature.shtml |

|
Arab on Radar is god.
Not noise but no-wave/orgasm-core. I love AOR. |
someone will say something but I like wolf eyes. Atleast dread.
|
Wolf Eyes is decent. Hair Police and Yellow Swans are way better though.
|
Quote:
That I do agree with. |
my favorite wolf eyes is their set with anthony braxton on the victoriaville 2005 fest
aaron dilloway solo is way better than wolf eyes, though |
I saw that on dimeadozen but didnt snatch it.
Was it that great? Damn. |
Quote:
very good!!! free jazz meets harsh noise, and wolf eyes sound more alive than pretty much everything i've heard them do. |
I disagree Hair Police don't do it for me although Wolf Eyes and Yellow Swans rule.
Solo Aaron Dilloway is brutal, I've only heard Bloggs Vol.2 which is really intense. |
HIJOKAIDAN
INCAPACITANTS OUTERMOST KNURL GEROGERIGEGEGE HERMIT THIRDORGAN K2 HATERS GOVERNMENT ALPHA the real japanoise shit. I don't know, I don't like US noise like Wolf Eyes and Hair Police that much. Japan is good, Nippon daichi. |
koroshiya and japanese businessman have decent noise on myspace.
|
wolf eyes are the shit, i love them.... dead machines, i have their ecstatic peace LP... not bad but not something i listen to that often... fits in with wolf eyes more atmospheric noise like Asylum Style and Fuck Pete Larsen... I remember listning to shit like that whilst reading Dennis Cooper and Bret Easton ellis' Less than Zero... fit perfectly... i don't care what anyone says Burned Mind is a classic... the anthony braxton thing is awesome as well...
yellow swans pretty much suck... hair police are overrated... hanatarsh, early black dice and magik markers are what i'm all about... |
|
yeah, i've seen yellow swans twice and they were very boring both times. wolf eyes however are shit hot live.
|
burnt mind is a classic, wolf eyes rule because they have fun!! A lot of noise is so noodley and acedemic, where as Wolf Eyes just kick out some fun jams.
I made a mix CD for my little brother and some of his friends. It was mostly rock/punk/post-punk type stuff. The most far out track on it was Wolf Eyes- Village Oblivia. Three kids hated it so much they started a parody band called Ape Fist, its not really funny at all but here it is..... http://www.myspace.com/apefistrulz |
Quote:
Yeah you gotta love them. I love it, in the album that I have, the opening line is "Sometimes I just gotta' jack off". |
Quote:
fuck yeah! slavo knows where its at! |

A Panegyric To The Things I Do Not Understand is FUCKING AWESOME! Even if you don't like Magik Markers, check this out. It's AMAZING |

I find Leslie Keffer quite intriguing.
|
bump, because I like this thread.
seriously, the new Magik Markers is amazing. Go buy it now. and regarding Hair Police, the History Of Ghost Dad cd-r is MUCH better than Blow Out Your Blood. and yes, Yahweh Or The Highway is hot shit. |

My favorite one on there is keyboard improv no. 1- just chords on crappy keyboard with an octave effect- letting the octave effect's glitches ring out and fade away. |
Also, this isn't noise but they played shows with Wolf Eyes so they deserve a mention.
BATTLES! |

cheers dude! |

runzelstirn & gurgelstock sudden infant MSBR sick llama decaer pinga cheers, wc ps - i agree that solo Dilloway is better than Wolf Eyes proper.. |
I like DYS more on record than live, which is ironic in that many of their records were recorded live. I think it's because the sound makes more sense removed from the context of them not moving. Did like Hair Police but went off them cept for the Rattler's Echo CD-R. Only Wolf Eyes I ever listen to anymore is Slicer.
Do have a bit of harsh stuff, namely Prurient, Whithouse and LHD.It'sMostly for the purpose of flushing my head out;If stuff like that won't clear your head nothing will. If we're inclduing No-Wave then I like to drive off my enemies with Gang Wizard. Magik Markers are O.K. on record but what I really want to do is see them live. |
