It's freezing in France

Well that may be a pointless thread :D, but I just wanted to say it's never been that cold in that period of the year where I live. Weather's fucked up.

_slavo_ 11.18.2007 07:07 AM

It's freezing in Slovakia too.

nicfit 11.18.2007 07:21 AM

And they call that "global warming" :D :D !

sound_world 11.18.2007 09:03 AM

PAULYBEE2656 11.18.2007 09:06 AM

jon boy 11.18.2007 09:08 AM

its just a bit drab here, raining, quite cold and windy. nice if your inside.

sonicl 11.18.2007 11:37 AM

I spent Saturday in Boulogne, and it was bloody cold there. Which wouldn't have been a problem if all the shops, bars and restaurants hadn't been heated to equatorial temperatures. I spent half the day taking clothes off and putting them back on again.

Incesticide 11.18.2007 12:16 PM

Vivement qu'il neige à Limoges !

cuetzpalin 11.18.2007 01:36 PM

here in Czech republic is freezing and snowing too. it makes me feel depressed a bit :(

SYRFox 11.18.2007 02:58 PM

It hasn't snowed yet in Lille.

Comme quoi, c'est vraiment des conneries de dire qu'il fait plus beau et plus chaud dans le Sud que dans le Nord =P

SynthethicalY 11.18.2007 03:30 PM

Whatever it is 61 degrees here.

Incesticide 11.18.2007 05:30 PM

Ils ont prévus de la neige pour demain à Limoges. Moi qui suis en scooter. XD

girlgun 11.18.2007 05:33 PM

here it is raining heavily and blowing a gale. I quite like this combination as the rain goes into you sideways and stings your face.
Today I went for a walk on the top of a cliff and stood on the edge looking down into the choppy sea. It is all very dramatic here in the Channel Islands.

jon boy 11.19.2007 08:20 AM

i am shivering right now.

Global warming is actually a misnomer. The climate change that the term "global warming" refers to means that there's an incremental rise in the planet's temperature over time. But that doesn't necessarily mean warmer or colder weather--it means that the temperature change has upset the "balance" in the earth's climate such that it causes bigger extremes of weather, cold, hot, huge swings in temperature in a region over a short period of time, or maybe an exceptionally cold winter one year then a warm one the next. Or bigger storms, like Katrina, and more tornadoes in the Midwest (or even places that didn't have many before).

You're sooooooo right.
Let's just say you said what I meant (that it's a misnomer etc.) without the irony I threw in ;) . All in all it's a pretty alarming situation, seen by a "logic" and serious pov. See the recent thousands of deads in the news... :( so sad.

It depends on the season, you know. Winter is colder and summer is hotter here. Czech Republic is kinda special.
