Polvo are really bloody good
 

Taken a while, but what ive heard (Todays active lifestyles and Celebrate the new dark age) is really really bloody good.
But yeah, i never see their CDs for sale so i had to download what with being short on funds and somewhat distrustful of internet buying. They really should reissue their stuff, alot of what ive heard is a bit like Modest Mouse only with a million times more nuance and imagination. Im sure theres a real audience for them out there now.

I just recently got into them. I stole my sister's copy of Exploded Drawing. Since then I've listened to Shapes and Todays Actice Lifestyles.

So fucking good.

I was hardcore into them for a while back in the mid 90's!!.. jesus christ... But since then i play them sparingly, b/c the continual stop/starts and breakdowns can wear you down. That's just me. But yeah, excellent stuff..

nah, it's not blasphemy, polvo, thinking fellers, and boredoms are my all time favorite bands.

but thinking fellers delivered 8 or 9 consistent albums with not a single bad song (please excuse the filler), whereas polvo.. well, exploded drawing is pretty good, but shapes? ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

anyway, i've probably said this before, but all scissor shock songs are in ash bowie's tuning for today's active lifestyles.

Yeah My Kimono is my favourite, probably the best piece of instrumental music ive ever heard. Its only a couple of minutes as well, i wish it would go on and on. GORGEOUS indeed.

it honestly makes me want to stop playing guitar. it's so great.

this band was the masters of the whammy bar. more so than mbv. i played today's active lifestyles for a friend and he said "they sound like they're going out of tune but doing it beautifully." and i said, "they are!" (since whammy bar abuse makes you go out of tune...) heh.

their best music in my opinion is the end of the fucking stinger.

Yeah, Polvo is another one of those bands that I had heard the name of, but then after seeing a few things on the board about them I decided to check out. THey are nothing awesome in my opinion, but they are pretty decent.
