How Much Have You Ever Paid For Tickets?
Out of all the shows you've gone to over the years how much have you paid ? Was the money worth the show? Are you willing to pay more if its a band you really like?
The most Ive paid so far is $50 to see Bob Dylan and i feel it was worth it. The guy is a legend and is still playing since the 60s.It was a great show too, Dylan still puts on an interesting live show. |
the most I've paid is 36 euros to see Radiohead in Piazza Castello in Ferrara, (same place SY played in a couple days ago), I don't regret it at all. Amazing show.
|
other than festivals, atp was very expensive the most i paid was £25 for a ticket i never even used. nirvana.
|
60 dollars for Sonic Youth.
|
$42 for Sonic Youth.
|
the most i've ever paid was $25 for Sonic Youth.
however, i did receive a pair of $75 tickets to Metallica as a gift. that show was a fucking blast. |
I don't think I've spent over £15.
|
55 bucks for devo. TWICE.
|
I spent 70 euros on a Pearl Jam ticket. I felt like I was being robbed but it was worth every cent.
|
I spent $65 for tickets to an upcoming Police show.
The most I spent for Sonic Youth was like $30 I think. |
$35 for a mediocre Sonic Youth show.
a lot more to go to bonnaroo, which was totally worth it. |
1500 roubles.. it is about 60$. for Sonic Youth of course!
|
When I was in Australia I went to see The Cure and that was like Aus$65 or something, which I remember being ridiculously expensive when converted to the dutch currency at the time (guilder). Anyway that was pre-euro times so I don't really know how it would compare nowadays... surely over 40 euros though.
DDN gigs in London are expensive too... stupid pound sterling! I think Radiohead 4-5 years ago was somewhere between 35-40 euros as well. |
$90 for The Who. What a waste.
|
My most expensive was to take my girlfriend to see Kylie Minogue a couple of years ago, and that was about £40, I think.
For myself, probably about £30 to see Sonic Youth and a similar amount to see Nick Cave. |
£25.00 per ticket x 4 tickets for sonic youth.
|
^^^^
Ditto, except I only bought 2 tickets. |
I spent like 50 bucks on Radiohead. Other than that, I haven't paid more than 15 bucks or so.
|
For my girlfriend's birthday in august I purchased two Tony bennet tickets a few months ago. Each runs about $85.00. He is her favorite.

Something like $35 bucks for a Franz Ferdinand. It wasn't worth it mostly because I'm not a big fan and the show was very... forced (you know, fake smiles and heartless guitar solos). Too bad I owed somebody the favor of going.
|
€70 for Radiohead, Beck and Deerhoof.
Well worth it, The 'Hoof played for an hour. Beck, an hour and a half. Radiohead, 2 and a half |
$80 - $100au is the average price for big shows in Aus. Dylan is around $140 though so I havent decided if Ill go or not
|
$60 is the most i've paid to see sonic youth last year. It was pretty boring, maybe I just had too high an expectations.

Thats some lineup. |
£70 to see a tiny Madonna onstage. I could have spent a lot less and gone to G.A.Y., which generally has the same sort of atmosphere that you felt at that gig.
|
I don't believe I would ever allow myself to pay over $40 for a ticket. I need to pay rent, ya know?
|
I won't pay extreme prices. Hence why I'm not seeing Dylan even though I love the man. $140 is alot of records I could buy and keep forever.
|
300 or something for coachella
i dont remember same with bonnaroo |
average opera is about $120 au and I usually see a couple a year
|
$60.00 for Sonic Youth + Dino Jr. + Damian Marley
|

Aye, The first time I'd seen any of them. Deerhoof blew me away, Beck was fantastic, as was Radiohead...obviously, |
120 € for Sonic Youth (it was a big festival)
|
20 $ for Sonic Youth.
20 $ for Mogwai. That's about as much money as I can think of. |
20 quid for slint, It was worth it. I've been to one or two shows that have been more, but I got them for presents etc...
|
35€ for Sonic Youth.

Yes, it was October 2000 in Perth. It's the same here actually, ticket pices for big shows have pretty much doubled since then... but I haven't been to any big shows in recent years. Stadium shows can cost anywhere between €50-€80 nowadays.. that's still cheaper than AU$150 though (which is €95 as I just found out!). I reckon a band like the Cure would cost about €40 nowadays if they'd play here. |
Thinking about going to see the Cure when they come, so that'll be...70, at least, I assume.
Before this, I can't remember ever spending more than like...35? I think that was for Ministry or something similarly eh. |
i paid a hell of a lot of money to go to coachella, (however much the fucking weekend pass cost, i think it was over $200 and i paid for two people to go) but all in all i think it was worth it.
|
jesus fuck. over $200.00
I cannot seeing paying that for one ticket, or one pass. |
