Like I stated in that thread, I made a thread out of it so that more people would see it.

king_buzzo 07.01.2007 06:33 AM

its okay. just downloaded.

ZEROpumpkins 07.01.2007 06:39 AM

Techno-y? I would ask on msn, but this gets my post count up.

auto-aim 07.01.2007 11:03 AM

It's a good album.. I'm a little jaded with it the production lets it down... But For God and Country is the best thing I've heard in a long while. But I like those type of songs.

Alex's Trip 07.01.2007 11:48 AM

I usually don't download leaks, but I'll get this one just to hear it a few times.

cryptowonderdruginvogue 07.01.2007 03:45 PM

it rocks, dude.
well, its good enough for a half-assed reunion album

vulva 07.01.2007 06:28 PM

good album, billy's voice is too high in the production levels though and Starz is an abortion

StevOK 07.01.2007 07:16 PM

I'm going to wait and buy it.

ZEROpumpkins 07.01.2007 11:09 PM

No matter how good it is, don't waste your money.

dammit, when I first heard Tarantula I thought it might have been a rough mix cos the levels sounded horrible, especially Corgan.

ZEROpumpkins 07.03.2007 06:45 AM

I listened to doomsday clock. Very un-pumpkins like, too metal-y.

vulva 07.07.2007 01:23 AM

Torn Curtain 07.11.2007 08:02 AM

I'm listening to the record, I think it's surprisingly good (even if it's a bit too monotonous).

samuel 07.11.2007 03:41 PM

Their new stuff is pretty good live.
Last night, they were awesome. They could have worked on the set list. They started with United States and it just dragged on. My favorites were Neverlost, Starz, and Come On Let's Go. In addition to the new album, hearing Shame, Thirty-Three, and Tonight, Tonight was great.

StevOK 07.11.2007 11:42 PM

Currently listening (bought it today). I kind of like it. Sounds like Machina I mixed with Pisces Iscariot with backing vocals styled by Queens of the Stone Age.

ive had a love affair with SP as long as ive been affected by music .
but this album is makign me sick .
special exclusive Myspace releases ? target releases ? what the fuck ? the album itself is "ok" but not that good .

it sounds like it was all written in one day . the vibe and sound is all the same and doesnt really go anywhere . billys vocals are waaaaaay too loud on top of the rest of the music and the layers are excessive .

i saw them live in 2000 and it was terrible . i was looking forward to seeing them just for the hell of it but im not going anywhere near them after all ....

StevOK 07.12.2007 01:01 AM

The album was ok, but there were only 2 or 3 songs that really grabbed my attention. Billy's vocals were too loud. Well, not reall. It kind of sounded like he was just standing right next to me, singing all the songs quietly.

m^a(t)h 07.12.2007 01:34 AM

yeah, the production really sucks on the album, his vocals are way too clean......

Washing Machine 07.12.2007 06:53 AM

Yeah, The Pumpkins were the band that changed everything for me, I could have done without this half-arsed album

And yeah the production is terrible, thats the one thing you wouldnt expect of Corgan...Oh well i'll just play Siamese Dream and remember what once was.

Really? When I first heard that track I thought it sounded like a regurgateted, watered down bodies. But now I like it a lot.

Best 2 songs are 7 shades of black and Bring the light.

Worst song is United States, because it sounds like boring xyu. I keep waiting for him to scream kaboom, but he never would because the song's just not good enough. Then the cool outro came and I was like "Oh if this bleeds into an awesome song that shit will have been a fantastic intro!" and then it goes on to neverlost and I'm like damn this is a better song than united states.

Edit: Also, this album is fantastic as a whole. Everyone who likes pumpkins should give it a shot.

pbradley 07.12.2007 11:47 PM

X.Y.U. is perhaps my only really favorite smashing pumpkins song next to 1979 and Take Me Down.

I didn't like the new album at all.

zedius 07.13.2007 12:00 AM

Yeah I love X.Y.U., and I hope it didn't sound like I was saying it was boring. Just that United States doesn't even touch it.

zedius 07.13.2007 01:29 AM

Also, I guess I am probably tempered against what some might consider badness on the new album seeing as I really liked adore, machina, and machina II.
