Dinosaur Jr. Nikes and where to get them?
 

Does anybody know where I can get a pari of Dinosaur Jr. Nikes from? Any ideas on cost also? I'm looking for a new pair of shoes to go with my new jeans and I really like them!

Any help/general discussion about them would be most appreciated!

I nearly bought a pair of Nike Montreal yesterday, but the sole at the heel was so narrow that they looked like a broken ankle just waiting to happen.

Thes Dinosaur Jr trainers are the stupidest things ever. J Mascis must be taking the piss! Anyone who buys them... well, they can buy what they like, but its a complete waste of money for some crappy silver trainers just beacuse they say Dinosaur Jr on them.

Any shoes that act as advertising boards for a brand look pretty shit, but, hey, it seems to be what the kids are wanting.

Just to note, J does not make any money out of these Nikes he just designed them. I think he was just taking the piss and making them look as horrid as possible. I would just laugh if I saw somebody wearing them, I hope that day comes...

I agree. And considering Nike like to plaster themselves all over the shoe without any subtlety, it's quite disgusting.

I'm not making excuses for Nike here, but you have to remember that they were originally a manufacturer of running shoes, and the presence of the manufacturers logo has always been pretty prominent on sports shoes, and on sportswear generally.

I was pretty amazed when I found a pair of Nikes where the logo was black on a black shoe, and therefore reasonably unnoticeable.

heh, doesn't Thurston have a pair of these? I am not into Nike AT ALL. Even the hipster-ish old school fat gravity style boot style Nikes that the kids are wearing with skin tight jeans, plaid shirts and scruffy haircuts... I hate them most of all I think

i was referring to the fact that he designed nike shoes; the reason i hate them is because i am sick of them, everyone acting like they are the shit, yes, they were the shit in 1987, they are over, it's just a nostalgia thing and people act like it's the best band right now, i'm sick of them. also, their new album is awful and no one seems to know it, they are over, another dinosaur of the alternanineties.
